AREVA will be the national sponsor for the European Athletics Indoor Championships, which will take place from March 4th – 6th at the Palais Omnisports in Paris-Bercy.

The Palais Omnisports in Paris-Bercy is a venue which lends itself particularly well to hosting large athletics competitions. It hosted the first World Indoor Games in 1985, the European Championships in 1994 and the Indoor World Championships in 1997. An international indoor meeting organized by the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme, has also taken place there for the past three 3 years.

Events and timings

The European Indoor Championships 2011 has 26 events (13 for men, 13 for women) -- that is 14 races and 12 competitions: 60-meter hurdles, 60 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters, 4x400 meters, high jump, pole vault, long jump, shot put, heptathlon (men only) and the pentathlon (women only).
